Hi! I'm Peggy James, a CPA currently based in Durham, NC. I spent most of my formative years near Lynchburg, Virginia, and I graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Government. After working for 18 years in newspaper advertising, I realized it was time to make a career change. I asked myself, "What do I want to be when I grow up?" I knew that I loved numbers and helping people, so I decided to become a CPA. I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Master of Accounting degree and spent 9 years working in higher ed finance.

Now I spend my days helping people make sense of their dollars. Through my virtual  accounting and financial coaching services, I help small businesses, solo entrepreneurs, freelancers, and individuals achieve the peace of mind that they know what’s happening with their money.

When I'm not playing with spreadsheets, I like to spend my time walking (ask me about the half-marathons I've done), hiking, baking, and playing with my black lab Jesse - she really keeps me on my toes!
